Rural Immersion Program
16000 farmers commit suicide every year and 163 million people can’t access clean water.
Ever agonized about these issues?
Rural Immersion Project offered under Buddha Fellowship Project is aimed at sensitizing students, from premier academic institutions to problems that rural poor face in their daily lives. They are exposed to problems such as girls dropping out of school, child malnutrition, infant and maternal mortality, farmers’ distress, and lack of drinking water. They live with rural families and experience at close quarters their daily lives for around 10-15 days.
